Technology at Waldron Mercy Academy
is constantly evolving and expanding, to the benefit of all our
students. WMA children enjoy a rich STEM (science, technology,
engineering, math) curriculum, thanks in part to our Golf and Tennis
Classic supporters.
Because of your past support of this event,
we now boast a 1:1 ratio of Chromebooks to students
in grades four through eight.
In addition, we purchased over 80 new iPads for use in our lower school. Universal access to technology is a
tremendous benefit and enhances the learning process for the students in all grades. Our students' education was also enriched by our 3D printer, cutting-edge equipment that many grade schools and high schools don’t possess. These assets are essential tools as our students engaged in challenging programming, engineering and robotics projects throughout the year.
With this year's proceeds, Waldron will purchase new SMART Boards with 10 touch points, enabling students to work collaboratively, with multiple students being hands-on at one time. Additional STEM materials will also be purchased, offering new and enhanced projects to our curriculum for all grades.
The Technology
Program is one aspect of a challenging WMA education that ensures our
children are well-prepared for high school and higher education. Waldron’s STEM
curriculum produces critical thinkers and creative leaders who will
tackle the global challenges of tomorrow.
On behalf of the students who will benefit from your generosity, we thank you for your support.
