Steven J. Katz is a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur whose passions are as broad as his spirit. He has been a recognized leader in life insurance brokerage for over 30 years, and Chief Optimist of his own agency, Premier Brokerage Services, since 1995. Steven is a Partner at HBI Partners, a private investment fund specializing in commercial real estate property acquisitions, that he owns with his son, Joshua.
A committed philanthropist, Steven serves on several non-profit boards including The Montgomery County Board of Health, The Jewish Relief Agency, OROT, and B’nai Brith Perlman Camp, and is a frequent and enthusiastic volunteer. In his continued efforts to give back, Steven founded The Katz Family Charitable Foundation, a registered non-profit organization that honors the memories of Max, Sheila and David Katz and Linda Joy Katz Grife. The Foundation’s mission is to support and enrich the lives of families, individuals in the Philadelphia community, and around the world, with a focus on hunger relief, education, growth, and development. Funds are raised in a variety of efforts including donating the time of Steven and his son, Joshua, as auctioneers for various organization throughout the country. Steven has provided his services as an auctioneer for various charitable organizations in the greater Philadelphia area and surrounding metropolitan areas since 1985 and has helped to raise tens of millions in donations for numerous charities.
