Technology at Waldron Mercy Academy is constantly evolving and expanding, to the benefit of all our students. WMA children enjoy a rich STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) curriculum, thanks in part to our Golf and Tennis Classic supporters.
Waldron students engage in excellent programming, engineering and robotics projects. Last year, their learning was enhanced by our new 3D printer, cutting-edge equipment that many grade schools and high schools don’t possess.
With your support, we will raise enough money through this year’s Golf and Tennis Classic to purchase Chromebooks that will give WMA a 1:1 ratio of computers to students in grades four through eight. Universal access to computers is a tremendous benefit and enhances the learning process for the students. In addition, if we raise even more money, Waldron will replace the laptops used to run the Lego® We Do and NXT programs with new ones. Students in grades one through eight use these to explore robotics, engineering and programming.
The Technology Program is one aspect of a challenging WMA education that prepares our children well for high school and higher education. Waldron’s STEM curriculum produces critical thinkers and creative leaders who will tackle the global challenges of tomorrow.
On behalf of the students who will benefit from your generosity, we thank you for your support.
