17th Annual Waldron Mercy Academy Golf & Tennis Classic

By supporting our Golf and Tennis Classic, you help to prepare the students of Waldron Mercy Academy for the fast-paced digital world around them. With the rapid advancements in technology and the national emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculum, this fund-raiser is critical for the education of our students.

This year, part of the proceeds will be used to start up a robotics program at WMA. LEGO® Robotics teach girls and boys--in a fun and exciting way--to design, program and control fully functioning models, covering topics within science, technology, engineering and math. This academic year, Robotics will be offered as an after-school club for grades 2 to 4. Next year, if we have raised sufficient funds, it will be expanded to grades 5 to 8. By 2012-'13, Robotics will be implemented into the curriculum.
